Aditya Birla World Academy (ABWA), India’s leading International School, celebrated its graduation day ceremony for grade 12 students on the completion of the academic year 2020-2021. India’s Ace Tennis Player Sania Mirza had graciously accepted to be the special guest and keynote speaker for the ceremony. Owing to the current scenario, ABWA celebrated the graduation ceremony virtually on 11th June highlighting the aspect of safety and endeavour to create positive memories by making the ceremony an engaging and gratifying experience for students. The idea of conducting this ceremony was to ignite the joy and honour the transition to the next stage in a student’s academic life.
Congratulating the outgoing batch of students, Mrs. Neerja Birla, Founder and Chairperson of Aditya Birla Education Trust said, “Today we acknowledge the milestone achieved from the culmination of years of hard work. We have all experienced exceptional memories passing through each stepping stone by working together with determination. It has been a stressful journey, however, we soldiered on and have come out with remarkable results. The most prominent asset of all your lives is TIME. Use it wisely and seize opportunities that arrive your way. I wish you all good luck with your future!”
Motivating ABWA students by sharing her personal experiences, Indian Tennis Icon Sania Mirza said, “One of the most important exercises to practice in life is to always enjoy what you are doing. Believe in yourself and compete with yourself, for you will emerge as a far better performer. Setting goals presents a direct path in your life, and elevates your motivation to push you to bring your future goals into reality. Lastly, continue to strive for excellence and never give up, wishing you all the very best for the future.”
The COVID-19 pandemic has brought about an unprecedented transformation across the education system. Given the integration of advanced digital tools for education, virtual education will mature and become an integral segment of the education system. Despite the current situation, it is crucial to celebrate important milestones in the lives of students, with the Graduation Day ceremony being one such momentous occasion.
